After starting my career in San Francisco, as Lead Designer for SF Gate, I moved to NYC in 2001 where I founded an independent design studio called Standard Motion. My studio created websites and branding for clients ranging from major record labels to non-profits to local neighborhood bookshops. During that that time, I led the redesign of Columbia Records’ website, redesigned American Photography magazine, and created hundreds of pieces of collateral and rock posters for artists and shows in NYC. The highlight of my time running that studio was being asked to document the making of Alicia Keys’ second album, The Diary of Alicia Keys. I spent 10 months in the studio shooting photos, videos, and building a website where her fans could stay up-to-date with her recording process. After moving to Los Angeles, I left client services, and went in-house on the client side where I have been for the last decade.

When I moved to Los Angeles, I worked with Tina Roth Eisenberg (aka SwissMiss), to launch the Los Angeles chapter of CreativeMornings. It was the first chapter outside of New York and it was a catalyst for CreativeMornings global growth. I ran the chapter for six years, hosting an event every month. It was, without a doubt, the most gratifying work-related project I have ever been a part of.

I have been incredibly fortunate in my career to work with inspiring people on challenging and rewarding projects, some of which are listed on this website.
